I am looking forward to Chairing the upcoming Continuing Legal Education Society of BC Securities Litigation Conference on March 8, 2024. 

CLE BC last held a securities litigation course in 2019, and the landscape has changed significantly since then.  

As in previous years, the program will include senior counsel from regulators. I am fortunate and pleased that Gordon Johnson, Vice-Chair of the British Columbia Securities Commission, Andrew Werbowski, Director, Enforcement Litigation, Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization, and Rob Paddick, Deputy Ombudsman, Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments (OBSI) will share valuable insights into their regulatory organizations.  

I also would like to thank the many senior counsel from the Crown and from the securities, defense and corporate litigation bar for giving their time and insights as presenters.
